Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose relationships or interests that could reasonably be perceived to influence the work or its assessment. These may be financial, professional, personal, institutional or intellectual. Authors must identify funding sources and, where relevant, the funder's role in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, writing or the decision to submit. A declaration of no competing interests should be provided when none exist. Disclosure does not automatically prevent publication; transparency allows editors and readers to evaluate potential influence.
